Sorry, I did put one up for Dorset, but realised it was hampshire, but i did put end topic, I will try to remove it completely, apologies, and thanks for pointing it out.

You may have been confused by the fact that Bournemouth was in Hampshire until county boundary changes in 1974 moved it into Dorset, so it didn't matter which county you posted your query in. This has resulted in half the Bournemouth Archives are  now held in Dorset, the rest in Winchester, Hampshire.

I think ths was my initial confusion not being familiar with the area, I was there once, and I remember someone telling me that through the urban areas surrounding Bournemouth that there is a county boundary running through many areas, thus confusing outsiders quite often as I was here today
