Hi Carol,
Haven't really got a clue what you are referring to, Brichie Bruke 1899? Is this of some relevance to what is being spoken about in this thread?
Please enlighten me  :D
All the best, and looking forward to your answer
Pete

Yes obviously it is linked to what we are trying to help you with ,which is to find Bridie O'Rorke in the 1939 register,so try putting in Brichie Bruke born 1899 ,Bournemouth CB and see what you get.

Transcriptions can be dire sometimes when people's writing is misread.

Excellent find, Carol!

Pete, it might be worth finding out if your local library has free access to FindMyPast?
It may, or may not, include access to the 1939 National Register?

You haven't said on your profile where you are, so I can't help with telling you where you might find access?

...and remember that for copyright and subscription terms & condition reasons we are not allowed to do look-ups in the 1939 register or 1911 census for anyone.

That's cool, you have given me a new direction anyway, unfortunately, I don't live in Britain, but just across the water in Ireland, though the local LDS family centre is close to me, they may have it for free there?
Can't get there for a few days, but when I do find out a possible solution, I will post it here, once again thank you all so much, I will leave this open for a while longer.

We're not allowed to do look ups for the 1939 census, sorry.  Does the birth certificate perhaps say in the Registration District of Bournemouth in the Sub-District of Christchurch?

Looking at FreeBMD, the district used to be called Bournemouth & Christchurch (Sept 1925-Sept 1932), then it became Bournemouth from Dec 1932.  So it's quite possible that the birth was in the Registration District of Bournemouth in the Sub-District of Christchurch.

There's another thread about this, although the OP gives the address as 15 Windsor Road.
