To be fair they had put on a warning at the beginning of the week to say that they would be undertaking maintenance between Tuesday and Thursday and that some parts of the site may be unavailable during this time

Which only really works if you happen to see the notice ahead of time  :-\
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

That was good of them, but it's now Friday and I can't access the site!  :'(

No problems here with access - I've used it umpteen times today and yesterday.  A little hiccup on Wednesday, but hey :) :)

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

When I saw this title I thought someone had claimed descendancy and added gremlins to their tree hehe! I suppose it could happen!
