Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

The parish of Crawfordjohn (No.636) adjoins the parish of Crawford & Leadhills (No.635).

They are adjoining parishes, Crawford & Leadhills being the larger, it is the most southern of the Lanarkshire parishes with borders on Ayrshire, Dumfriesshire and Peeblesshire.
Crawfordjohn is to the north and borders Ayrshire on its western side.
They are both very rural parishes with no town of any size in either parish. Farming and forestry are the main industries.
They may well have been part of a much larger parish but that was probably long before the Scottish Reformation.
The Commissariot Records of Lanarkshire mention the parish of Crawfordjohn as early as 1621 and there is a tombstone in Crawfordjohn churchyard with the date 1633.
The Fasti has a list of Ministers for the parish of Crawford & Leadhills that begin at 1574 and there are headstones in Crawford churchyard dated as far back as at least 1650.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.

Thank you that's great info. :) I am looking for the Watsons of Crawfordjohn also  Peebles and Biggar, but Crawfordjohn Watson's is the hardest   to connect to my other Watsons  ::)
