1861 Kent
« on: Sunday 24 July 05 15:45 BST (UK) »
Could someone please help me with this family
Think they might be in Bexley Kent

Last sighting I had for them was 1851

George O'Hara c1820 Cambridge and wife Ann
would expect there to be children
William Barnes O'Hara 17 and Charlotte Maria O'Hara 15
There could be more children.
Thanks for any help of advice.

What is it about O'Haras?  (My wife had a female O'hara ancestor who gave birth in prison).

The only O'Hara born Cambridgeshire with a birth date close enough to your zone that i could find in 1861 is as follows:

Plumstead  Kent

John Ohara Born abt 1824  Cambridgeshire, England
Mary Ohara Born abt 1813  Northumberland, England Wife
Ann E Brown Born abt 1854  Kent, England Stepdaughter

In terms of George O'Haras, the best I could find was:

In 1881, lodging with Henry G Carville, 2 Eleanor Rd, Woolwich, London, - George O'hara, widower, General Labourer; Born about 1827,  Cambridge .

I assume it is the same George recorded in Deaths – aged 52; 2nd Quarter 1881; Woolwich Reg District  Vol 1d page 620

Any other information that could tie this down a bit more, eg was he definitely born in Cambridge?

You have found John O'Hara' brother to George O'Hara. I had found John in 1881 but you have been able to add more to my information.  Some folk will always remain a mystery.  Thanks for your help
I see you have Baker on your list of names - that is my single surname but mine came from Braintree Essex and I have just discovered that all the missing ones went to Australia.
Thanks again for you time and effort,
Kissimmee
