Brick fields were simply the places where bricks were made.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

Thanks for your help. My GG/grand father I was told wrote a book on brick making.Does you know where I might find a copy. All I have is his name: John Daniels.
Thanks again for your help.
