Played around with this signature which is the daughter of John Edmund/Edmund John Roberts and Ada Jane Roberts -  looks like it is Helen Purdon.

Great finds DB - the surname Thomas is to common to pick out the son of Cyril in Calgary and the daughter in Vancouver - we have a first name but no  married name, that would have been handy.
Presuming Hugh and Ceri may not have had children    Puts us a little closer if we can unravel there identities.
