John B Davies & Mary Macbean
« on: Saturday 12 November 16 13:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi I'm stuck with John B Davies. before I send off for his marriage cert I just wondered if there was anyone else researching the same people.

John B Davies born about 1895 I think in Lancashire but not sure. He married Mary Macbean in Cockermouth in 1923 they had a daughter Evelyn born 1924 in Cockermouth, I've traced Mary's family but stuck with John. Mary was born in 1896 Cockermouth, her parents were Scottish.

I realise probably the only way is to get the marriage cert which will give me his fathers name but trying this first, I know it's a long shot but thankyou in anticipation :)

I can see their marriage in 1923, but I can't see a birth for Evelyn?

There is a John Davies, mother's maiden name McBean, born in Lanchester, Co. Durham in 1926?

Do you have their deaths or have you found them on the 1939 register which would give birth dates

That is understandable   ;D

Bit of a surprise-the family seems to be in Essex by 1933. (Birth of son xxx 1933 Romford).
They show up on the 1939 in Hornchurch but John B doesn't seem to be with them.

EDIT:
Just edited out the son's name. Probably not still living but.....

 ??? ???

Geez.

I think the 1933 son died  1940 in Keighley.

Maybe the marriage cert would be easier. ::)
