Mary (??????)- Charnock Richard
« on: Friday 18 November 16 20:54 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to locate a cousin of mine who's name is Mary ???????  She will probably be about 60 yrs of age now and the last I knew she was married and living somewhere near Charnock Richard.
Any information would be great.
Many thanks,
John

I'm afraid that as she is probably still alive, you will need to remove her name as it is against Rootschat's policy to name living people.

Oh my apologies! I wasn't aware of that.
How would I change the post? Would I need to remove it completely?

Just go back to your first post and take her surname out of the title and the post. That way people will be able to give you general advice or can PM you if they think they can help further. Not too much harm has been done as you've only mentioned her maiden name.

Hi Jon

If you know her married surname, you could check some electoral registers here

https://www.searchelectoralroll.co.uk/Electoral_Roll_Search.asp

You can search the marriage and death indexes without a sub here

OK Dawnsh I'll try that thanks.
I think I have her married name now but don't think I'm allowed to put it on here if she is still alive!

You can check the death index upto 2007 at www.familysearch.org

a date of birth will be shown so you can double check any entries that match her name.

if there's no entry try the free electoral register search to see if you can find her there but people have had the option to opt out after 2002.

If you still have no joy or unsure you can send me her name on the personal message system and I can have a look for you off-forum.
