Thanks Cider, that gives me quite a bit to add to the tree.

I see Elizabeth still alive in 1861 at Cartwright Square. I'm still not sure what her maiden name was.  ???

Marriages for that period did not show occupations as Richards would have been the clincher

15.5.1810 at St Marylebone - Richard Walker to Elizabeth Crebbin

5.9.1814 - St Martin in the Fields - Richard Walker to Elizabeth Squires

Nothing concrete to determine the right entry

As Elizabeth was born c 1782 I would have expected any marriage to be around 1802-1806 unless she was a second wife

Hello
I looked through the record manually and the baptism for Richard Walker 1817 is at Cartwright Square.
If the older children are correct and they look it it pushes the marriage back to before 1804.
So Richard Walker and Elizabeth Finch 6.6.1892 at St Saviours Southwark both of this parish.wit Thomas Pan and William Gardnier or
Richard Walker and Elizabeth Ward 12.10.1800 at St John Hackney which appears as banns but I can't see the marriage.
There are a lot of baptisms that fit as you know.Your best bet may be to get in touch with the Worshipful Company of Gunsmiths.
They should have some idea who his father was and an apprenticeship.

But I'll keep looking

Thanks for your efforts Carole/Cider/amondg. This gives me a bit more to work with.

I will post an update if I find anything else of use to other researchers.
