« on: Friday 02 December 16 20:32 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any information regarding a marriage between Margaret Chapman and Edward Parkinson around 1856

Margaret was born in Manchester around 1832 and died in Pontypool 0,N,D 1866
Edward was born in Bolton 1827 and died in Wales 1896

In 1968 he married his second wife in Pontypool in October 1868

any assistance on this would be great because I have exhausted my search through free and Paid site I have even looked in Wales and other parts of the UK with no luck

Many thanks to you all

Francis

Is it possible Margaret chapman birth/bapt 1832 (maiden name) was a young widow who married Edward Parkinson

Or

Margaret birth surname unknown married a Mr Chapman who died before 1856

How do you know Margaret's name was Chapman - is it possible that she was a widow when she married Edward?

So that shows her maiden name was Chapman, but not that she necessarily married Edward as a Chapman.

I was only able to find Margaret in 1861 married and living in Wellingborough with William and James Ed.
The family has always thought it was Chapman but I like the idea she was possibly married prior

we have her as dying in Pontypool in Monmouthshire at age 31 again family memories I am willing to relook at any options. The Children of the marriage are correct as James edward (born Dudley) who married Ellen Furguson was my Great Grandfather I have the Birth Certificate 3rd June 1856 Wolverhamton street Dudly Listing Chapman as the Mother Maiden name

Thank you
Francis

Widow Taylor or Walch or Welch

If Margaret had children from an earlier marriage 1847 to 1858 then they could be with her in the 1861c if not then an earlier marriage looks doubting. (though the children from the earlier marriage could be with her late husbands parents on the 1861c
