It does look promising but I still think the Parish Records of Sedlescombe should be looked at, mind you I don't know if there are any. Do you know if they are at Lewes Record Office?

Hi all,
I have a John Milham b 1792 Seddlescombe married to Sarah (nee Watford) b 1799 East Hoathley. They had 6 children, George b 1836, Naomi b 1839, Edward b 1841, Phillis b 1842, Eliza b 1846 & Caroline b 1849. They may of had more. All born in Chiddingly. i have more records nearer but my track stops at this John at the moment.

Thank you all who have given information on the MILHAM family. I have a Frances Watford Milham chr 10 June 1821 at East Hoathly, SSX dau of John [Bricklayer] and Sarah. [From Sussex-OPC site Parish Registers]. There is also a Phillis Watford Milham b. September Q Hailsham, SSX 7/310, m. Clement Stephen REED Dec Q 1880 Hailsham, SSX, d. Dec Q 1913 at Eastbourne, SSX, 2b/104.
So interesting when there are middle names passed down.
