There is a possible marriage for a Benjamin SMITH and Jessie Ann PATTRICK at Bethnal Green in Sept qtr 1896. I can see Benjamin and Jessie in 1901 census in Hiley Rd Willesen, but with no children?.  :-\

Added: surprisingly, there are only 2 marriages for a Benjamin SMITH and a Jessie between 1886 and 1901, the other being Benjamin Walter. Unfortunately the Bethnal Green marriage also has a Herbert SMITH and Amelia POTTS.

I haven't seen the 1911 census, but I do wonder if you have the right couple - if Alexandrina was b 1840, and married 1886 at age 46 (or even 35), it would be a bit of a stretch to have 9 children by 1911.
Why?  9 children in over 20 years, though maybe not, given her age.  ?3 sets of triplets?  :P  :P  :P

Benjamin is with Jessie in 1901 at 22 Hiley Rd, Kensal Green (where he is on electoral roll in 1902
Benjamin SMITH, married, 42, occupation illegible, b Bloomsbury
Jessie SMITH, married, 40, laundry hand, b Aberdeen, Scotland
No others in household but 3 families are at the same address.

1911 children shows 8 children born alive - 1 living and 7 dead.

Judith

NB - I believe that Jessie is NOT Alexandrina - compare ages and birthplaces from the OP who says that She Alexandrina) was born in Sandwich, Kent in 1840, first daughter of Stephen and Frances Fuller.

Sorry, Maddys52 - missed your post.  Interesting though that in 1911 Benjamin and Jessie give a marriage date of abt 1885 when that is the date of the Benjamin/Alexandrina marriage.

Perhaps A went back to life at sea.....  :-\  She seems to have disappeared.

Better than mine, Sue!

It is possible I suppose that both Benjamin and Jessie were married about 26 years prior to the 1911 census.

Just not too each other ;D

Trying not to sidetrack, BUT

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q273-2LJH  (1881)

Is this correct?  The transcribed version has Alexandrina Victoria FULLER as MARRIED?

ADD

Ancestry does too.

I have checked the image, seems to me to be "Un" as in UN-married  ::)  - sure hope so  ;D

I too had difficulty locating the 1881 for Alexandrine and in the end had to do so by searching Ancestry for the people listed as being with her on the  familysearch record.  That is James and Ellen ESSEX.

Anyhow, having located it.
Alexandrina Victoria FULLER is 40 and clearly Un (unmarried). Born Sandwich Kent.
She does not live with the ESSEX couple but is the next listed household.
Address 1st St Johns Wood Road.
She is a caretaker and resides with Sarah KELBY who is a general servant born in Bridgewater.
