sugarbakers - thank you for that marriage! Maybe that's her parents.

Agreed, but if you look at the Northants Baptisms Index there are bpts ...

John Mauson s/o blank 1707
Sarah Mauson d/o blank 1712
Thomas Mauson s/o Thomas 1722
Hannah Mauson d/o Thomas 1724

... all at Wilbarston.

Just wondering about that gap of ten years ... Wilbarston had an Independent Chapel built 1706, problem is that the records at TNA and NRO begin 1790, nothing earlier.

Hmm, interesting there's a ten year gap there. Just searching Wilbarston parish registers on Google - this website (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~maureenbryson/id76.htm) seems to say that BT's 1712-1719 are missing.

Thank you for looking at the baptisms! Shame they don't have earlier at the NRO.

Yes, that could be the very simple answer - the records are lost.

The SoG National Index of Parish Registers (1991) shows that the original regs are only available from 1746 and the BTs, as you say, are missing 1712-1719.

Damn. Do I presume these are my people then? :( And she was born in that gap. Going by UK naming conventions, Thomas and Phoebe are John and Phoebe's first children (John W had married & had children before).

Noticed on Ancestry some of these go by 'Manson'. Phoebe 'Manson' dies in 1733. Also a William Morson from Wilbarston marries Mary Hawkins in Tilton on the Hill in 1758. I wonder if he's another child of Thomas and Phoebe. Seems these Morsons didn't mind travelling for marriage!

Thank you so much for all your help in locating all these Morsons for me :)

Just to correct my error in #9, third bpt should read
William Mauson s/o Thomas 1722
Almeroth, Germany (probably Hessen). Mawer, Softley, Johnson, Lancaster, Tatum, Bucknall (E.Yorks, Nfk, Lincs)
