« on: Friday 16 December 16 18:20 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I brought this postcard the other day and thought if possible I would try
and return it to the family if they can be traced.

The person who sent it was attach: 20 Light Signal Company, Boulogne

There is also a mention of a person Beaty.

William?

But I'm now seeing a 'r' in the name so possibly not William.

I sort of see 'From Moran'  :-\ but 'Moran' seems to be written in a smaller & less flourishy hand to the rest although the 'r's are the same.

You know what interests me about this?  You have:-

To Louie With Love From - all these words begin with a capital letter and yet the signature appears to be all lower case.

The word that leapt to mind when I saw it was icarus - the chap who flew too close to the sun and burnt his wings.

Is there any date on the card?

Agreed, as if a parent wrote it and a child signed it.

Is it Corall? And the child had a few starts with the fountain nib.

I am happy the middle letters are O.R.A.

First look, to me it looked like the name Cora in wildly exaggerated inverted commas.

I see possibly Keiran?

I don't believe it begins with a 'W' as they are far too different.

Is it possible there just wasn't enough room for the normally larger writing at the bottom of the card?
