Please decipher occupation of John Gordon

My first thought was Trainer, but I think it may be Drainer. I realise the first letter is a bit different from the D of Deceased, but I think the ink may have been lighter in parts and some detail has been lost in the copying process.

Depending on time lines, have you tracked him down in any census?

You could request a clearer copy from SP.

I think Drainer - compare the first letter of Deceased.

The first letter looks the same as the one in Deceased on the next line, so I'd vote for Drainer.

Thank you for your replies. The original image I posted was taken from information on his son's death registration in 1890. I found a census (1871) and death registration(1873)  which I think is for the same person John Gordon and his occupation is given as "Agricultural labourer"  I've attached two images from the same image as my first post showing a capital "T" and "D" which may help. Thank you again
