Michael & Janetta Roddy

I am looking for any info on on a Michael Roddy and a Janetta Roddy nee Salmon.  Janetta was born in Johnstone, Renfrewshire 27/7/1903 to a Andrew and Mary Salmon.  Janetta married Michael in Glasgow in 1942.  Janetta was a school teacher. Micahel was living in Edinburgh at this time and was a chemist.  They went to America in 1946 to visit Michael's brother.  I cannot trrace anything after this until both their deaths. Janetta in April 1988 and Michael in Sept 1988 in Worthing West Sussex.  Any info would be great. PS Michael was Born 29/8/1915 dont know where.

That's very odd, why would a death be registered in two different countries, I though it had to be registered where you died?

Yes that's what I thought but looks like it is the same person.

There is a birth registration for Michael Roddy Oct -Dec 1915
Huddersfield Yorkshire   Mother's maiden name Healy

Their deaths may not have really been "registered " in the US.
Just quoting from A*try about the SSDI:
"The file is created from internal SSA records of deceased persons possessing social security numbers and whose deaths were reported to the SSA. Often this was done in connection with filing for death benefits by a family member, an attorney, a mortuary, etc. "
