unfortunately you are right that isn't a very nice photo. It was taken shortly after the Oklahoma City Bombing. Which my mom was a victim of and so was this lady. I went to my moms funeral, closed casket. Then I was on the internet one day looking at photos and came across this one. The resemblance of my mom and this lady are very close. It has been haunting me for 21 years. I would just like to finally get some closure.
I tried to upload the picture of them side by side but it wont let me for some reason

When I first saw the photos I thought that this looked like the same woman.

Do you think that this photo was randomly taken after the event and it just happens to be of your mother? May I ask if you know the circumstances of your mother's injuries and death? Does this tie in with her living for some time after the event.

It is understandable that this has haunted you for so long.

I'm sure someone will be able to perform some magic and resize and put the photos side by side. Do you have any photos of her when she is older, rather than comparing with the photos of when she was so much younger?

It took 16 days to get any word on my mother. She was said to have died. But this picture was taken shortly after the explosion. They were helping her away from the building. I spoke to the officer that is in the complete picture. He remembers this lady but doesn't know her name.
My cousin also saw this picture and wondered why grandma was on the computer. But people that know my mom think the similarity is very strong.
I don't know why it wont let me upload the side by side picture. I keep trying but get an error message

Hi - I've done an edit to position all photos together, I think there's a strong resemblance
