Find My Past Subscription

Oh Rosie - I kept seeing this one and thought it was for Ancestry DNA only.  It's too late now I've paid $178

To further complicate things, I just received an email from FindMyPast saying, "We have introduced three new packages, Starter, Plus and Pro for our UK customers. Plus and Pro include unlimited monthly access to the 1939 Register."

And... it looks like newspaper access is available only with the "Pro" subscriptions now via FindMyPast.co.uk.

Please ignore my previous comments about this issue -- they have been rendered obsolete!

 

(Although that's good news about the register!)

Although, as I understand it from the FAQ, you can keep British or World subscriptions and all they consist of, if you want to, as long as you have auto-renew ticked and don't allow your subscription to lapse.

Following the links from the e-mail I was sent, I cant see what the new packages are.

Can anyone see what is being included on Plus? All I'm being offered is Pro or PAYG! And Pro is up massively from what I paid this year ....

That's what I got, it may be me but I cant see any way to compare packages or the price. I also can't see a way to proceed to step 2.

But now I can see that I'd get Irish records (which I don't want, I have Scots and Welsh blood, but no Irish), but lose Newspapers (which I do want) if I go to Plus.

Not good! The alternative is that I have to re-tick Auto-renew, to be able to get what I have now, by the look of it
