Twisting the available hard evidence should never be the first thing you do though.

There was an Eliza COUPLAND born Q3 of 1888.  If you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that she married someone else, then fine. There is no need to invent one born in 1888 when one actually existed.

There are two Eliza Couplands:-

Eliza Priscilla Coupland baptised 9th May 1884 at Sutton Bridge dau of Edward and Hannah.
She, daughter of Edward, married Ernest Hogg on 8th July 1910 at Sutton Bridge.

Eliza Coupland baptised 7th April 1898 at Wrangle dau Absalom and Harriet.

Another Eliza Coupland married a Charles Henry Robinson and lived in Louth. However, she gave her birth as 1885.

There are two Eliza Couplands:-

Three (at least)

Add one born 1888, bap 1894 at Fosdyke.

See also FreeREG for baptisms.

The 1896 one - the one this thread was about - was bap 1898 along with her younger brother.

Sorry, I made a mistake - too much of a rush.

Eliza Coupland in 1910 married Ernest Parfrey, not Hogg.

George and John were the two younger brothers baptised with Eliza.
