Help finding birth of ancestor who died few hours after birth
« on: Tuesday 31 January 17 15:19 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping someone may be able to help me find birth details of my aunty who died a few hours after birth. I am drawing blanks. All I know is that she was named Christine Taylor, she was born in Buddle
Road, Benwell and was buried in elswick cemetery on 8th August.
Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Laura

What year?

My father had an older brother who died just after birth and he was never registered. There isn't a birth or death anywhere. My aunt was born in 1913 and my father 1916 and he slots between them. I have been told that he may have been classed as a stillborn to cut the costs of my grandparents or they just didn't register him and paid the gravedigger a few pence to put him at the bottom of a grave and a coffin would go over him but he would be in consecrated ground. Common practice at one time.

There is no death registration matching a 1960 death nor a birth matching those parents names.  Are you sure the child was born alive?

What details are you looking for exactly, you have the parents and where born - is it just the registration of the birth or?
