If it turns out to be impossible to obtain certificate(s) then it might be nice to make something for your grandma.

I'm thinking of a framed memorial with the baby's name and August 1960, maybe a short poem or some appropriate words of remembrance in a pretty font.  If you're a needlewoman then cross stitching her name and date and some flowers or whatever you feel is fitting would be thoughtful and probably much appreciated  :)

What year?

My father had an older brother who died just after birth and he was never registered. There isn't a birth or death anywhere. My aunt was born in 1913 and my father 1916 and he slots between them.

Something not right with dates here  ???

Born between 1913 & 1916 but we have 1960  ::)

I need to re-read this for sure  :-\

The baby in the original post by Laura Collins was born 1960 and another chatter Medpat provided an example from her own family about 1913 and 1916.
