Nursing home owned or managed by a Mrs Kiely in the 1960s. Now dissolved
« on: Friday 10 February 17 21:40 GMT (UK) »
Hello.  Just wondering if by any remote chance anyone has come across a nursing home which was operating in the mid and late 1960s which was either owned or managed by a Mrs Kiely. We think it might have been somewhere along the coast.  It was still open in 1990, but has since been dissolved.
I know it's a real long shot that someone might recognise it.  But thanks for any suggestions or ideas.
I am going to visit the library and see if the Thoms directory for the period involved might have any with the manager or owner listed.

I checked the Irish Newspaper Archive with an assortment of searches to tie a Mrs/Nurse Kiely to what I presume was some type of Nursing/Maternity/Adoption service and came up with nothing.
Sorry !

From the other thread-

Hi, sorry for posting it in the 2 different countries.  I didn't realise that was not a done thing.

As far as I know it wasn't a mother and baby home.  Just an ordinary nursing home, I'm going to try searching old editions of Thoms directory and see if I can narrow it down. The only other clue I have is that it might have been on the coast.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
