To LAVERICK researchers

Hi,

For many years I have been trying to find a link of my wife's HENRY family to the LAVERICK surname.

The HENRY'S used the LAVERICK name during the 1880's & 90's.
As far as I can work out this was because of the blacklisting of coal miners.

I now know how this link to the LAVERICK'S occurred.

John HENRY'S parents were John HENRY & Ann LAVERICK.
She came to this marriage with at least 3 children to a former marriage. All census info indicates she was born about 1804/5 at Sedgefield, Co Durham.
Her former husband MAY HAVE BEEN William LAVERICK.

I have located a marriage on the IGI for WILLIAM LAVERICK and Ann DOBBING at Sedgefield 11th Dec 1824.
The three children I know of from this marriage are
George b c 1830
Robert b c 1832
Frances b c 1836

Are any of these LAVERICK'S on your tree???

Cheers
Geoff
