David Warriner

I recently came across a story about a 6y/o cousin who was caned to death in 1905. He lived on Elias Street in Everton. I'm intrigued to see if I can find out more about the school he was at, his actual death etc. Any suggestions? All I have is a note from another relative 'died after being caned by his teacher.' Thanks,
Lindsey

Thanks, I've just ordered it now.  Any ideas on which school it might have been?  There are 2 close by the site of Elias road now, but I can't find any school registers from that time.

Hi Lindsey, the David Warriner you mention was (I think) my great uncle, or at least would have been.  I too have ordered his death certificate and am interested to see what it says.  I cannot find any mention in any newspaper archives.  I hope to go to the Liverpool Central Library to see if there is anything there.  Let me know if you find anything before me and vice versa.  You can find me on Ancestry (willjay55) or Facebook (John Williams). Best wishes John
