John Lilley Baptism Record

I am searching for a baptism/birth of John Lilley ( or Lilly /Lillie) who was married to a Mary. Their children John (ch. 26.2.1744) Joseph ( 1758)and Mary (1741)were all born in Congerstone. If the Parish records of St Mary the Virgin Church at Congerstone dont go back that far, would the records be held elsewhere or just not exist?
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

In theory, from Genuki, parish registers start 1593 (some sources give 1792, others 1756).  Perhaps contacting Leicester Records Office would give a clearer indication.  Bishop's Transcripts may also be available.

There are no baptism records at all available for Congerstone on FindMyPast, marriages from 1756, burials from 1796.
