Hi Pergamond,

Not sure that R & C is the correct area, could it possibly be Sutherland?

According to scotlandsplaces, Bonar Bridge is in the Parish of Creich, Sutherland

Possibly one of the few places with a poorer record than Ross & Cromarty when it comes to Record Keeping  ???

The graveyard is in Ross and Cromarty, so that's why I posted on this board.

Also dates have been known to be wrong on gravestones and don't forget spellings varied.

Unfortunately the image I have posted from the National Records of Scotland shows neither the Church of Scotland nor The National Records have any known records of deaths in that Parish. This was a situation far more common than we might expect throughout Scotland.
