1891 or 1901 look up of Cumberland Please

I am looking for James Patterson born 1872 in Distington Cumberland.

He married Harriet Ellison in 1897 and the children I know of are
William Duke Patterson and Mary Ann Patterson but there are possibly more from an earlier marriage.

I have tried the PRO1901 site with every spelling variation I can think of with no luck, so hopefully someone here can do better
