1841/1851 census lookup Frank Harrington b. around 1832 Salisbury

Searching for details of my great-great-grandfather Frank Harrington born in Salisbury around 1832/3.  Later moved to Kensington and Fulham.

Any information on family or where he lived gratefully received.

Do you know whether Salisbury was his place of birth or whether it was the region of Salisbury?

There are Harringtons in the church record of Downton which is not very far afield.

I shall be resuming my study of those records in September and could have a look then if it would be worthwhile.

Thanks for the interest.

All the census records have his place of birth as Salisbury from 1851 through to 1881.  The 1851 lists him as Francis, living with his brother Charles who was born Newport in the Isle of Wight in 1830/31 so the family may have been moving around.

I think he was probably born in Salisbury rather than one of the surrounding villages.

no frank harrington on the 1841 cencus for wilts.only francis harrington is a 64yr old in the lunatic assylum lol
