Yes thanks, I have his will, and also seen the Chancery document created by the death of the main beneficiary of his will. I shall order the other will in case it was his father.

STAMFORD MERCURY, 30 Nov 1738
To be SOLD, The House and Shop of Mr John Timberland, Ironmonger, in Boston, deceased, lately lived in; and all his Goods in Trade to be sold, together or in Parcels. Attendance will be constantly given at the aforesaid House til lall is sold. If anyone likes to take the shop, they may enquire of Mr Thomas Timberland of Boston aforesaid.

"Your" Thomas, born 1725, would appear to be too young to be the above Thomas?  The TNA reference mentions "haberdashery", the above "Ironmonger".

Yes your right my Thomas would only be 14, too young to even be an exors. The bargin and Sale, two indentures and mortgage are to do with my Thomas. He did marry widow  Ann Ward.
Do you know what the Indenture of lease for 1 year, ref CoC1/2/4/3 is about please?
I shall have to visit Lincs Archives.

I recall seeing a newspaper advert that linked Thomas and the Black Horse - which led to my finding the "LincstothePast" item.

Now struggling to find the advert!!

Thanks for the info on TT parents and the tip about his fathers will, I shall try and get a copy of that, maybe he inherited his money from his father. It is Thomas's (Junr) sister Elizabeth that married into my family and her son was the main beneficiary of TT's vast will. So I am intrigued as to where his money came from.
If you do find the advert I would love to see it.
Thanks again
