Finding Forbes

I am trying to find proof of David Forbes from Scotland 1833 Birse , marrying in S.Africa 1861, then dying in 1863 , if his parents are Ann Thow and John Forbes  this would be the correct person i need       Thanx.

The marriage cert. of a David Forbes, age 33 and a Catharine Ann Puncocks, 1st Feb 1860 is available to view on Familysearch. Groom's father's name not mentioned (not part of info requested on doc.).

Is this the marriage?

Unfortunately the David Forbes who married Ann Puncocks/Purcocks isn't the son of John Forbes and Ann Thow.  One of the witnesses on the certificate is Alex Forbes - see below

David Forbes  is said to have married Jane Elizabeth Jones. 1835-1897
He was her 2nd husband of 3 . I am still unsure about this but it could be possible ?..

Might be a coincidence, but the informant on this certificate is an H Jones

Yes that is the lady !......she was married three times. I wish I could find the certificate from the David Forbes  marriage  to see if it is the one I need . But I  have been emailing people in S Africa genealogy , so we will see where things go . Thank you         Melanie
