It’s quite a challenge to look for information about the Carlton Hotel, because it’s a common name for hotels, and even if the scope is restricted to Leicester lots of others pop up (adverts for holiday resorts, stories from London etc.)

In the late 1870s Jonathan Parkin, was linked to the Carlton Hotel, Granby Street, Leicester.

Benjamin Babington PEAD gentleman married Eliza HEY widow 13 September 1880 at Poulton le Sands.

His father was was an Edmund Pead gent.
Can't work out who she is just yet as the record I can see is quite blurred in regards to the name of her father.
