Albert Dovey, Killed in Action 28 Feb., 1917
« on: Monday 13 March 17 23:37 GMT (UK) »
FindMyPast has an image of the report published in the Lincolnshire Chronicle on page 7 of the  24 March 1917 issue. Sadly, the image is such poor quality that it's entirely illegible. Would love to be able to get a copy of the article that I can read  :)

I did think of that, but doesn't FindMyPast simply serve the same images as found on the british newspaper archive site? The thumbnails on the newspaper archive site look the same as FindMyPast. I've already used a couple of email addresses for free trials on the newspaper archive site, so I'm a bit reluctant to set up another  :-\

I'm sure it does. I can't imagine the same newspapers being scanned by each provider.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

In which case, unless it was reported elsewhere there may not be a clearer copy, unless the original survives and you can see that.
