The William Taylor who married Jun.qtr.1841 Ely did not Mary Ward.

He married Mary Ann Newton on 7/6/1841 Downham, Cambs.

The Mary Ward married Jun.qtr.1841 Ely married a James Jessop 7/4/1841 also at Downham.

There isn't a marriage index entry for a William Taylor to a possible Mary Ward in 1871.

What are your sources?    Which census have you found your couple on?
