Stone, John Edward
« on: Monday 20 March 17 20:54 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am looking for any information on John Edward Stone born Bekesbourne, Kent 1892?

Johns parents were George Henry Hookes Stone and Charlotte Russell.

John emigrated to Australia in 1909? With his brother Thomas Russell Stone, my grandfather.

He enlisted and served as a gunner in WWI. I am unable locate his service record or any further information on him?

Thanks,

Kentstone

You'd probably have more success re-posting this in the right section - after you've read what's in this one. The clue is really in the name, you know.

Good luck

Hi I think these may be my Grandad's brothers.... he was Herbert Henry Stone, born in Bushey, Hertfordshire.  His parents were James and Sarah.

This is his birth on free bmd - so he could have been born at the end of 1891:

Sorry,

There is no child Herbert Henry Stone on the census records for 1891 or 1901.

All the children of George & Charlotte are recorded as born in Bekesbourne, Kent or The district of Bridge.

Regards

I see that Thomas Russell died in Sydney, NSW. Do you know where John died?
