Here's the first marriage for Ethel:

Also Ethel's maiden surname was Hanbidge, no "r".

Also one for Carl and Lila Hume who were buried in Exeter Cemetery:

Wow, many thanks all, I wasn't expecting so much info!!

I just thought it weird that no BMD's could be found on Ancestry or Find My Past despite them supposedly having Canadian BMD's and wondered if there was a reason for that. But now I have a lot more info to go through which I'm sure will produce more leads so thanks again.

There is no central place for Canadian BMDs. Each province varies considerably in information that is available for searching. So it all depends on which province you are looking in.

But if you are also searching for others in Canada, Library and Archives Canada, which is freely available to search, is a good resource to use:

Leonard Cooper shows up on the 1921 Canadian Census as a Roomer in Windsor, Ontario. It gives his immigration date as 1907 and shows his occupation as Machinist.

1921 Census reference:
Ontario / Essex North / District 77 / Sub-District 51 - Windsor (City) / Image 17 of 26
