What a shame that every census we've found just says that the parents came from Ireland and not an actual town or district.

What a shame that every census we've found just says that the parents came from Ireland and not an actual town or district.
Indeed but have we seen any of the originals? Or just ancestry transcriptions? Actual place may not have been transcribed [she said hopefully....]

I just couldn't find any Arthur O'Donnell/McDonell/Donnells with father John baptised in Donegal 1845 +-5 yrs :(

Donegal was certainly the marriage county.
