Morning Sue - I am no expert but on most records if either bride or groom were not of Full age =21 They would write it down as needing parents permission.

many children were baptised later on in life especially if dad was working away ...you sometimes find 3 or 4 children baptised the same day by their parents - when they had money to afford it .
Your 1811 baptism for Ann Knowles - might have a slight mistranscription in it -it states Baptised 10 nov 1811 - born 27 December 1811..so either that should be the other way around or Ann was born 27 December 1810 - not 1811??

Baptism: 10 Nov 1811 St John, Haymarket, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
Ann Knowles - Daughter of Wm. Knowles & Ann
     Born: 27 Dec 1811
     Abode: Vauxhall Rd
     Occupation: Flour Dealer
     Register: Baptisms 1801 - 1812, Page 50, Entry 3
     Source: LDS Film 1656195
so living Vauxhall Road - a 5 minute walk to Kirkdale along Athol Street and probably registered as Kirkdale District .

The 1814 directory I referred to is not online as far as I'm aware. It is Gore's Directory of Liverpool,  listing around 14,000 residents with their occupations and addresses.

Thinking about Kirkdale circa 1812, I don't think the village had a church at that time. The parish church was St Mary's at Walton on the Hill.

So here's another possibility from LAN-OPC:

Baptism: 4 Aug 1811 St Mary, Walton on the Hill, Lancashire, England
Hannah Knowles - Daughter of Thomas Knowles & Mary
    Born: 24 Jun 1811
    Abode: Walton
    Occupation: Labourer
    Mother's Father: Thos. Williams

Have you looked at naming conventions to work out possible parents names ?

https://familysearch.org/wiki/en/British_Naming_Conventions

The 3rd son was Thomas so this looks quite promising.

From online trees the first 6 children of Thomas and Ann were, in birth order:

John
Elizabeth
James
Ann
Thomas
Margaret

The 3rd son was Thomas after his father so this looks quite promising.

Thomas's parents were apparently John and Elizabeth. If the usual naming convention was followed,  it would suggest that Ann's parents were James and Elizabeth, and as Elizabeth had already been used for the first daughter (maternal grandmother's name), the second daughter was named after her mother Ann rather than her paternal grandmother Elizabeth.

Yes I have been looking at the kids names so parents like James & Margaret Knowles are an option & also James & Mary (as her daughter Amelia was called Mary on 1 of the census forms) but there again Wiliam & Ann living in Vauxhall Rd are also a possibility.!!!!

Time for me to get back to L'pool & spend some time in the Central Library methinks !!!!
