I'm having some difficulty in tracing my 4x great-grandmother's birth her name was Agnes Wyllie or Wylie. The vast majority of my ancestors are from Scotland until I came across Agnes.
I have a lot of info on Agnes from Scottish records. Bear with me as I have quite a lot. Thought I'd include them in this post as you never know what may be useful.
I have her parents names but I'm struggling to find anything on them either. In either the British or Irish records on findmypast. Ideally would like to find her siblings and parents of her parents hence the question. Would also like to know if she was indeed born in Dublin just to complete research on her. Feel a bit stuck.
This is what I have for her so far;
(note, all the records I have for her are Scottish)
Her death certificate -
Agnes Valentine, widow of James Valentine.
Aged: 79
Date of death: 17th Feb 1881, Parish of Fordoun, Kincardineshire, Scotland. .
Name of father; George Wyllie
Name of mother; Ann Wyllie m.s. Dick
Informant; David McPherson - Son-in-Law
Marriage record - She married James Valentine on the 26th Jan 1828 in Fordoun Parish, Kincardineshire, Scotland. The marriage record states that they were both of this parish.
They had the following children, all born Kincardineshire, Scotland;
Betty 1828 (Strange to have a Betty and an Elizabeth?)
Elisabeth 1830
John 1833
William 1836
Helen 1838
Joseph 1842
All children and the marriage are registered under the Church of Scotland old parish records.
I have census records for Agnes also, it is in these that states her place of birth as Dublin, Ireland.

Hopefully someone can help me track this lady down in the Irish birth records. I have no experience of searching those myself. Thank you!
Jill.
