Looks like the ages on the 1881 census may have been "massaged".

As I could not locate the couple in 1901/1911 found various possible voyages to America, one being:-

Rebeca Newton 62 address in UK 22, Wates? Street, Glossop, Liverpool to Boston 12th June 1931 on Vessel Laconia she was intending to stay in Boston.

It's surprising how far Glossop folk traveled to get wed  :) Plenty in Chapel-en-le-Frith in early days - just outside the Ancient Parish (one of the largest in the country) of course.
I've found a few couples marrying at Manchester Cathedral.
Mottram/Tintwistle is always worth looking at because many Hadfield families found it easier to get there than over the hill to (Old) Glossop. Indeed, the marriage I found the details for may well have been there because the information I quoted only relates to the registration district.
