Sounds reasonable, although I'm not finding a baptism.

Some children baptised to William & Elizabeth:

25 Jul 1823 Ann d/o Willm & Elizth Boulton, Wood St, FWK
21 Jul 1826 Thomas s/o Willm & Elizth Bolton, Fisher's Row, FWK
12 Dec 1828 Diana d/o Willm & Elizth Boulton, Belgrave Gate, FWK

These are all quite late though, as Joseph was 19 when convicted in 1832, so born c 1813  :-\

It does seem to be the same family though, as there is a burial at St Margaret on 6 Feb 1833 of Dinah d/o William & Elizabeth Bolton of Gas Street, aged 4

Also the burial at St Margaret on 29 Jul 1833 of William Bolton aged 46 of Gas Street.

Poor Elizabeth - her son is transported and she buries a husband & daughter, all within a year.

In the same grave as Elizabeth Boulton is Clara Ellen Boulting buried 03 Nov 1877 aged 1.

The GRO has her mother's maiden name as BOULTON, and the only Boulting/Boulton marriage I can find is Jul-Sep 1872 Leicester JOHN BOULTING married Louisa Day or Emma Jane BOULTON.

Birth of Emma Jane BOULTON Apr-Jun 1846 Leicester, Vol 15 p114, MMN BOOT.

25 Dec 1844, St Margaret
Henry Boulton of full age, bachelor, FWK of Barstone Street.  Father: William Boulton FWK
Phebe Boot of full age, spinster of Baker Street. Father: John Boot FWK
Wit: George Mansfield & ?

Henry 38 & Phebe 42 are in Sparrow Hill, Loughborough by 1861, but the only baptism I can find that would fit his age is this one:

14 Jan 1822 St Mary, Henry Bolton s/o William & Lydia of Greens Lane, FWK   ???

Other children baptised to William & Lydia Boulton/Bolton are Thomas on 30 May 1817 & Joseph on 8 Jan 1820 - the address on Joseph's baptism being Green Street.

There has to be a connection somewhere to the Joseph born c1813, but I'm just not seeing it.

Good spot. Some of their children's birth registrations show the MMN spelt Boulton.

By 1851 they are in Goodacre Street and Mary gives her PoB as St Margaret, but I cant find a baptism for her either.  Interesting too that Mary & Robert name one of their sons Joseph - birth registered as Joseph OConnor Allen.

Good Morning researchers
You are all amazing! So fabulous to find your work this morning...
Thank you so much...a lot to go on with
I descend directly from Joseph Boulton...he married another convict in Australia... the family had a very very tough life ....I have become very attached to them and want to know they live on over there also. My dream is to meet one of my cousins!
