« on: Sunday 07 May 17 16:10 BST (UK) »

According to the 1911 census Charles and Mary had 5 children, 4 had died, their remaining child was Annie born 1893 (she, unfortunately, died in 1917)  Have been on the GRO records site can find no other children apart from ----Corin born 1889 mother Penny.

Any help would be appreciated.

Looking at infant death rather than births - there are several between 1884-1901

In 1891 they were living in the Stoke Damerel RD - possible twins.  There are 2 birth entries but GRO search is showing no match for mmn

Deaths March qtr 1889

Births Mar 1900

I suspect the Hilda Gregory CORIN was the child of Harry Gregory CORIN who also had a daughter Annie Florence Gregory CORIN in 1892 and a Doris Vera Gregory CORIN in 1898. However, your Charles Frederick Gregory CORIN was also given a middle name GREGORY - he was baptised at St James the Great, Devonport 19 Oct 1865 but born 4 April 1863.
Thomas & Ann also baptised Edith Florence 19 Oct 1865 (born 3 Oct); Harry Gregory 19 Oct 1865 (born 15 Mar 1861). Annie CORIN 1893 was the daughter of Frederick & Mary Ann. (Father a publican)

Below is the Corin that Carole found but this is from the GRO website

CORIN, -       PENNEY
GRO Reference: 1889  M Quarter in STOKE DAMEREL  Volume 05B  Page 349
CORIN, -       PENNEY
GRO Reference: 1889  M Quarter in STOKE DAMEREL  Volume 05B  Page 349

As you can see the mmn is Penney.  Slight spelling mistake made perhaps?

The 1901 census shows the family living in Plymouth.  So between 1891 and 1901 they moved to Plymouth.

There is a baptism for a Thomas Charles Corin on 31 March 1887 at Plymouth, St. Peter.  Parents are stated as Frederick Charles and Annie.

The original, if I have read it correctly, gives an address of Sladdon?/Staddon? Terrace and father's
occupation appears to be fitter.

Having rechecked the 1901 census the address is 21 Staddon Terrace so Thomas was one of the four who died.
