Hello Lynn,

I can't find the reference you have given for Market drayton.

Piece 1996 does contain market drayton, but the registration district of this area is 364, not 275 or 201.

I think you need to check your references before anyone can help you as Market drayton is a huge place.

Hi Linda,

Sorry if this has caused you problems Numbers were obtained from the  Census Index I have since found the 1996/260/13 it relates to Drayton Parva. Although the index stated Market Drayton

I'm  now not sure which area the other number refers to in Market Drayton.......since posting the message someone has informed me that this entry is unreadable.

Just my luck......

Thanks again for looking

Lynn

At last - someone looking for Masseys in Shropshire!!  I have in my tree Mary Massey, born circa 1837, to parents Joseph Massey, born circa 1807 and Ann/Hannah ??, born circa 1806.  I know that Mary married Thomas Bull in 1862 Market Drayton.  Any of these ring any bells with you??

Regards, Julie
