The only other clearly marked photos I can find in the album.

Mixed gender group photo is marked on the back with "Taken at Stonehouse Corner on Saturday 31/8/41"

Male group photo is marked with "Taken at St. Gwen's on 22/3/42"

3 aircrew in photo no 2.

from the left

2nd man is aircrew with 1 wing above left pocket. Has flash on arm above 3 stripes so a flight sergeant.

Man in centre a pilot  - 2 wings above left pocket.

Man far left aircrew with 1 wing above left pocket. Looks like flash on arm possible signals or flight sergeant again.

Would like to see the letter by the wing above the left pocket of men 1 and 3 that I've picked out from the picture as the letter would give there role in the aircraft.

 :)

Many thanks.

One of the men in the air crew photo has now been identified. The second man in was Sergeant Robert Arthur Giles. He was a wireless operator and gunner who was killed on the 23 November 1942, and was part of the 37 Squadron.

The flash wasn't a crown then so not a flight sergeant but a flash for signals so the letters on his wing should be S for air signaler or AG for air gunner.
 :)

EDIT

Just been informed by OH that he could have been a WAG - wireless air gunner  ;D

The photo location has now been identified. It is outside the Irving Hotel in Morecambe on Irving Terrace (now Marine Road West). From what I can make out their was a WAAF training centre in the town, so I am guessing the group photo must be some sort of "graduation" photo?
