A well sourced Ancestry tree has Alice Sloper , born 1872 Paddington , as daughter of James Sloper and Alice Walsham and married 1895 Ludwig Goebel. I don't think she is Alice Elen but the marriage cert would confirm.

Maybe the Jones marriage then, the GRO say they married Q2 1895. They are in the 1901 and 1911 but the 1911 says married 10 years.

If Alice Sloper married Goebel 1895 she can't have married Jones as well. ???

Thank you.

Alice was born 1877 with mother Rosina and stepfather Christopher Sloper, so she is not the Alice Sloper that married Ludwig Goebel.

Have you got the will of the mother Rosina Sloper who died 29 January 1933 Ramsgate Kent, probate is to her eldest daughter Amy Rosina Burleigh wife of Arthur Henry Burleigh.
It could tell you if Alice was still alive in 1933 and her married name if any.

1911 as her mother states 5 children 4 living 1 deceased.

Children
Amy Rosina Elen 1874 Kensington
Thomas Torell/Trell Elen 1875 Marylebone (perhaps middle name was Tyrell)
Alice M  Elen 1877, born 17 December
Edith May Elen 1879 St George Hanover
William Charles Elen 1880

The step father Christopher George Sloper died Ramsgate Kent 3 October 1930, he also left a will
that should name the step children unless it was a straight forward everything to wife Rosina.
Rosina was the executrix.

Thank you, but this Alice Elen is a different Alice - she is the daughter of Richard William Elen and Elizabeth Tyrell.

Does the "5 children 4 living 1 deceased" refer to Rosina? I was only aware of 4 children. Is "Thomas  Torell/Trell  (perhaps middle name was Tyrell)" definitely hers? It sounds as though he should be the son of Richard William and Elizabeth Tyrell. Is there any baptism for him that would confirm his parents' names?
