Where in Ireland?
« on: Sunday 31 July 05 03:31 BST (UK) »
I am searching for information regarding my gggg-grandfather John Logan, born about 1821 in Ireland, and his wife Catherine Kemp(s) born about 1825 in Ireland. They had two known sons, Hugh, born 1847 and James born 1854. Both sons made their way to Glasgow Scotland, Hugh certainly before 1870.

Someone told me that these names were most common in Ulster...

Anyway, hoping someone can make a connection.

Thanks,

Nina

I should have added above that the son Hugh married Mary Clancy or Glancy in Ireland about 1867 and had a son John before leaving for Scotland.  Son James married a Bridget Cronan,  but uncertain if he married her in Ireland or Scotland.

Can someone please help me find these people?

Hi,

If they had a son born post 1864, his birth shoud have been registered and available on the indexes. these are in the Dublin GRO or on film at your local family history centre
