1841 lookup for Chester
« on: Sunday 31 July 05 04:03 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for my 3 x greatgrandparents in 1841.

Charles Price b:1823  in Hawarden, Flint - Journeyman &
   bricklayer

Rebecca jones B: 1824 in Chester, Cheshire

In 1851 they lived in Bridge St, St Mary, Chester

They were married in Chester, St Oswald in the December quarter of 1842.

Their eldest child was christened in Chester, St Mary in  1844.

They continued to live in the area for the rest of their lives.
I was hoping that if I could find one or both of them in 1841 they might be living with family and I would get a start on the next generation.

Any help greatly appreciated :) :) :)

Cheers
Wendy

Hi Wendy

If you purchase the marriage certificate it will give you the fathers names and may also give an address, there are literally hundreds of Prices and Jones in and around the Chester/Flintshire area, and no name index so its a lot of page turning.

sorry to be negative, but need a bit more info

Hi Peter,

Thanks again for your advise ;D

I realise that i can get the answers by purchasing certificates, but exchange rates make it quite costly to purchase all the certificates needed when researching, as well as units and/or subscriptions to various sites. As I have four children I can't always do it, so I try every avenue before I make purchases and even then I have to really pick and choose.

I also know these are common names, but occassionally there is someone who has the answers.

 Cheers
Wendy
