so Samuel married in Liverpool
then reappears in Bury where their son Isaac is baptised in June 1841

That's right - Samuel states he is from Helliwell and Mary is from Liverpool. Then they presumably move to Horwich. Whether this is the correct family though needs further evidence.

Lancann. Where did you find the 1825 baptism?

All of you - a very big thank you for all you help.

There is a John Barrow in 1901 at an institution in Farnworth as a pauper/inmate.....

I actually thought, afterwards, that you were referring to Mary Barrow, daughter of Samuel + Mary, born 1825.

From what I can glean, the rest of them, John ecxepted, couls have died between 1851 and 1861; Samuel snr 1853; Mary 1851; Samuel jnr 1860 and Isaac 1858.....

Now that it looks as though John Barrow is born Birkenhead, I would think that he is the (unmarried though) John boarding in Wallsend in 1861.

1861 3835/36/33

Birkenhead is transcribed as Burlouhead on one site.
