Oddly enough Patrick & the girls are lodging at Lanyclogwyn, Rock Terrace, Penrhyndeudraeth, Merionethshire. Patrick's age is wrong as it states born in 1835 County Down Ireland, Occupation Pedlar. All three girls are with him and it states they were all born in Longton, Staffordshire, but I have Mary Ann's birth certificate and she was born Wakefield. It has taken me years to sort it out but I have progressed very slowly.

I see - no wonder I couldn't find them as I was looking at the English census.

Ellen is listed as aged 10 in 1891 so I wonder why you thought she was born in 1882?

I see that the two elder girls are listed as speaking both English and Welsh, so perhaps they were in school there rather than visiting briefly.  Did they marry and settle in Wales?

All three girls married and settled in Conway, Caernarvonshire. On Ellen's Marriage Certificate dated 19/4/1902 it states she was 20 years old & on her burial record age 30 years on 6/3/1911.So you can see the problem I'm having in establishing the year she was born.
