Robert barrows 1805 is a roper in 1841 & rope maker in 1851

With sons Robert & John  following  in his trade .

It would be useful and interesting to have the names birth years and professions of the other siblings and their spouse's in case anyone other BARROW. DNA matches come up .

Samuel bapt 6 nov 1803.    m. mary roberts 28 sept 1825 - no children. Mary buried 31 may 1839. remarried sarah gaskell. 3 children isaac born 1843, sarah 1845 anna 1847 (died 1 april 1859.

I have Robert marrying Jane Rigby........19 dec 1825 - 8 children.......

Ralph - bapt 27 nov 1811. married bridget fitzpatrick in India 4 aug 1841. 9 children. frances ali, joseph ralph, arthur john, elizabeth, samuel, louisa, ada, walter william and josiah george lewis.

Just checking details and I think  my cousin's Robert BARROW  1837
Is not the son of Robert the rope maker
On his marriage records he states father as a smith
& 1971 census says born Hastings

So Alice Lomax was NOT his ancestor.

While looking through her children I did find 1851
Alice Barrow age 64 with 33 year old son Joseph in little Bolton did you rule them out . ?

That would mean Alice born in 1787 so married at 12 years of age.

What is your connection to the Barrow family?
